I am near completion of my PhD in Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University in Canada. My doctoral project examines the ‘migrant caravans’ from Central America as a protest movement, considering their implications for international refugee law.

Prior to the PhD, I worked with civil society organizations related to human rights and youth in several countries and I have written various non-academic articles. I have furthermore worked at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Egypt, with a focus on gender-based violence.

I have given several guest lectures in academia, given various courses at a high school level, and taught Norwegian as a second language for adults.
